For 2026, SaintéLyon is introducing the SAINTÉVIA, a new 35 km race starting in Mornant.
The SAINTÉVIA, a new 35 km challenge
This is the surprise of the 2026 edition. SaintéLyon, a fixture on France's night-trail calendar, continues to innovate as it reaches an ever-broader audience. Alongside the established formats between Saint-Étienne and Lyon, organisers have officially announced a brand-new race: a 35 km course starting in the town of Mornant.
A strategic, accessible course
This new route is more than just a shorter distance. Starting in Mornant, runners will merge with participants from the other races and experience the unique atmosphere of the final stretch, while avoiding the longest sections of the early night. It is the ideal compromise for anyone who finds the SaintéSprint (around 27 km) too short and the SaintéLyon (82 km) too demanding.

As tradition dictates, the finish will remain at Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon. The new race will also help spread runners more evenly across the trails while showcasing the heritage of the Pays Mornantais, a key area of the Monts du Lyonnais.
