MaXi-Race 2026 brings back the iconic Quart de Tour

The historic Quart de Tour returns to the trails above Lake Annecy in 2026.

Rediscovering Annecy’s trails on a historic course

After several years away, the MaXi-Race organizers have answered runners’ calls: the Quart de Tour is making its long-awaited return to the 2026 schedule. A signature format from the event’s early editions, it is back to deliver a more compact but no less spectacular experience on the trails above Lake Annecy.

The spirit of the race without the ultra fatigue

The organizers’ stated aim is to let trail runners rediscover the pure pleasure of running fast and picking up the pace on demanding terrain. The Quart de Tour focuses on a specific section of the massif, with sweeping views over the lake’s turquoise waters, while remaining accessible to runners who do not want to commit to a full loop or a half loop.
