Salomon EcoTrail Paris to Finish at a Gallop in ParisLongchamp on October 17, 2026
Salomon EcoTrail Paris is changing seasons, not its identity. For its first-ever autumn edition on Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Île-de-France race is unveiling a new and highly symbolic finish. All three distances, 80, 50 and 20 km, will cross the finish line in the ParisLongchamp racecourse area.
Announced at the start of the year, this new edition is moving to a different season while preserving the identity that has made the event a success for nearly 20 years: bringing nature, heritage and the urban environment together. For its first autumn staging, the organizers are bringing all three formats together on a single day and opening up new corners of the Île-de-France region. The only constant from the spring edition will be the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, which will once again feature on the courses.
Three starts, one finish
The 80 km, the flagship event, will start from the Île de loisirs de Cergy-Pontoise. Runners will cross the western Île-de-France region before reaching ParisLongchamp after several hours of racing. The 50 km will start from the Domaine national du château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, while the 20 km will get underway at Haras de Jardy. Three formats, three gateways to trail running in the Île-de-France region, but one shared final destination. And what a destination.
Usually the setting for major horse races, ParisLongchamp will host a Salomon EcoTrail Paris finish for the first time. It is an original, highly symbolic meeting between two sporting worlds built around endurance, pacing and the pursuit of performance. « We would like to warmly thank France Galop, a supporter of the event, for giving runners the chance to experience an exceptional finish at ParisLongchamp racecourse », says Hervé Pardailhé-Galabrun, managing director and co-founder of OSE.
A different take on trail running
This first autumn edition above all confirms EcoTrail Paris's determination to keep opening up new terrain for trail running. Forests, historic estates, parks and paths across the Île-de-France region will shape courses that show trail running is not limited to major mountain ranges. Here, the challenge is built differently, through the accumulation of miles, changing terrain and the need to manage effort on courses that are fast but demanding.
The change of season will bring a new dimension, too. In October, runners will discover these landscapes in their autumn colors, with race conditions potentially very different from those at the spring event.
On October 17, Salomon EcoTrail Paris will change its setting without changing its philosophy: delivering real trail running on the doorstep of the capital, showcasing the Île-de-France region and putting environmental responsibility at the heart of the event. And this time, after the trails, runners will have a date… at a gallop.
