Mallorca hosted the third edition of Mallorca by UTMB from October 30 to November 1. French runners made their mark all weekend, especially on the Serra de Tramuntana (SDT), the flagship 138 km race with 5,350 m D+, where the men's podium was 100% French.

It was all French on the Serra de Tramuntana (SDT) this weekend, the 100M-category race at Mallorca by UTMB. Of the 517 runners who lined up at the start in Cala Estellencs, Lambert Santelli was the fastest to complete the course, arriving first in Port de Sóller. "It's a very hard, very technical race, but also a very beautiful one. I'll come back to see Mallorca properly," said the Corsican runner, who was racing his last event of the season. The men's SDT podium is entirely French, with Jérémy Lenormand second and Gabriel Airiau third.

On the women's side, Spain's Maite Maiora won through the pain. She had considered dropping out because of her injuries, and crossed the finish line overcome with emotion. "I know age doesn't forgive and that the young women are coming on strong... I'm coming back from a very serious injury, but... here I am!" said the Basque runner at the finish. Second in the 100 miles at Julian Alps by UTMB last September, Maiora picks up another win on the UTMB® World Series circuit. France's Céline Finas finished second despite a 2h45 penalty for cutting the course. Third place went to Czech runner Andrea Vlasakova.

Just seconds after Lambert Santelli, Andorra's Samuel Ponce crossed the line as a winner in his turn, this time on the ETM (Els Tres Mils), a 56 km trail with 2,450 m D+. Ponce has only been running trails for three years. "The race was very special, very technical, but I had great feelings from the start. The finish was incredible," he said. He beat Norway's Jonas Hesthaug and France's Theo Bourgeois.

Marcel Fabian and Henriette Albon win the CPS

The third race on Saturday, October 31, the Camins de Pedra en Sec (CPS), also started from Cala Estellencs. Its 104 km and 3,740 m of elevation gain put the 600 starters to the test on a demanding route through the Serra de Tramuntana.
