Grand Raid du Finistère 2026 results: Tanguy Warin, Thomas Le Lons and Agathe Garnier rule the end of the earth
The Grand Raid du Finistère held its fourth edition on September 19 and 20, 2026. Born in the aftermath of Covid, the race has stayed true to its original concept: circumnavigating the Crozon Peninsula, climbing Finistère’s highest point, the 330 m Ménez Hom, heading all the way out to Pointe de Pen Hir, and catching the first light of day at Cap de la Chèvre. All on the GR 34. More than 2,000 runners took up the challenge across the six formats on offer, four of them solo races. Here is the full rundown of the 2026 results.
The 100-mile race was unquestionably the headline event of this year’s Grand Raid du Finistère. Around 300 runners took it on, covering 166 km with 3,000 m of elevation gain.
Thomas Le Lons, the winner of the GRF 166, underlined just how much he had put on the line to claim this precious victory: “Training means making significant sacrifices as a family. I’m proud to bring this win home to my loved ones, my wife, my children and my father, who have supported me from the very beginning,” explained the winner, who was taking on his first 100-miler and finished in 17:09:47. “The final stretch hurts. But I feel I can dig even deeper into that pain. I didn’t reach the limit of what I’m capable of.”
Second place went to a duo who crossed the finish line hand in hand. Pushing themselves to the limit and fighting together with strangers met along the trail, against their own physical limits: that is what Vincent Goyat and Pol Robert embodied as they completed the 166 km together. They had never met before the start, but it did not take long for them to settle into the same stride. They spent an entire night looking out for one another, moving step by step through the darkness, never alone. Hours of racing turned into a friendship that carried them across the finish line together, ringing the bell hand in hand.

A new 250 km race
This year, the organizing team led by François Hinault came up with a new race format, the Grand Raid du Finistère Legend.
Competitors had to reach the GRF 166 start line from Pointe du Raz in under 14 hours, covering 84 km to Telgruc-sur-Mer. The section was not timed, but runners still had to beat a cutoff. After a few hours or just a few seconds of rest, it was time to join the 166 km starters for the second leg of this Legend, bringing the total distance to 250 km and 4,000 m of elevation gain.
Seventy-one trail runners took on the challenge, and 17 of them would make it to the finish. Tanguy Warin was the strongest of the lot, pulling off a remarkable feat. He arrived four hours before the GRF 166 start, giving him a little time to rest before heading back onto the trails and finishing the GRF Legend with a time that would have placed him between sixth and seventh in the GRF 166.
I managed to maintain the pace thanks to my pacer Kilian, who joined me in Camaret. We pushed hard all the way to Cap de la Chèvre. After that, the gap was big enough for us to avoid getting hurt and finish the race comfortably. I had never covered this distance in a race before, so the unknown was how I would cope with the lack of sleep.
