UTMB®
Jeju City (Jeju-si, Jeju Province, South Korea)
148 km / 104 km / 60 km / 20 km
Every October, Seogwipo hosts the start of the TransJeju by UTMB® on Jeju Island, a volcanic land south of the Korean peninsula whose landscapes are UNESCO World Heritage listed. The courses link the coast, where Jeongbang Falls drops straight into the sea, with the slopes of Hallasan, the highest peak in South Korea. In Hallasan National Park, runners cross forests of Korean fir and skirt the Yeongsil cliffs, not far from the Baengnokdam crater. Volcanic rock, forest trails and long climbs make for varied, demanding terrain.
A stop on the UTMB® World Series since 2023, the event offers races from 20 to 148 km: 148 km with 5,000 m of elevation gain, 104 km with 4,000 m, 60 km with 1,400 m, plus a 20 km to discover the island on foot. It stands out as one of the major races in Jeju Province.
