At the end of winter, the Transgrancanaria opens the European ultra season under the Canary Islands sun. The courses cross Gran Canaria from end to end, from Atlantic beaches to the volcanic heart of the island, around Roque Nublo and Pico de las Nieves, before dropping back to the south. Deep ravines, stony trails, Canary pine forests and old royal paths make up dry, rugged terrain.
From short trails to formats well beyond 100 km, the event suits every profile and draws runners from all over the world each year. A member of the World Trail Majors, the Transgrancanaria offers races of every distance and is one of the great events among races in the Canary Islands.
