A change of scenery in the northern Rhône Valley for this autumn trail, which sets up in Ampuis, the capital of the exceptional Côte-Rôtie wine region. The trails climb straight into the heart of the steep terraces suspended above the river, winding between rows of vines, the woodlands of Pilat and the area's historic hamlets. The terrain is unforgiving: steep climbs through the woods and precipitous traverses follow one another, disrupting the pace and making your thighs burn. The reward rises to the challenge, with spectacular views over the meander of the Rhône and the Alps in the distance. The event offers several finely crafted races to suit every ambition, from the challenging 45 km to the faster-paced 13 km, complemented by walks and junior races.
