Across the Alsatian Vosges, the Trail Alsace by UTMB combines forest trails, vineyards and rolling terrain. The routes pass at the foot of numerous medieval castles, including Haut-Koenigsbourg and Mont Sainte-Odile, two of the event’s iconic landmarks.
The trails alternate between wooded sections, climbs and more open stretches overlooking the region’s villages and vineyards. Several formats offer the chance to explore this area, including the 158 km ultra. A race where Alsatian heritage accompanies runners all along the Vosges trails.
