In Saint-Étienne, the Sainté Urban Trail transforms the city and its surroundings into a playground for runners. The course winds through the streets of the city of Saint-Étienne, but also leaves the center behind to take in stairways, trails and greener passages. Along the way, runners discover several of the city’s iconic landmarks, including the Geoffroy Guichard stadium or the Puits Couriot mining museum, while gaining elevation on the hills surrounding the city. The route alternates between urban sections, climbs and descents, with terrain that differs considerably from that of a classic road race. The event also focuses on a friendly atmosphere, with an animated course and a finish in the heart of Saint-Étienne. Several formats make it possible to take part according to your level and preferred distance. It is an original way to discover Saint-Étienne while running, between urban heritage, elevation and more secluded trails.
