Between the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Pacific Ocean, Puerto Vallarta Mexico by UTMB crosses a variety of landscapes along the Mexican coast. The trails move from mountainous terrain to tropical jungle, passing rivers, forests and steep paths.
On the 95 km course, the route climbs into the hinterland before descending towards Puerto Vallarta and the ocean. The shorter formats also follow the region’s trails, weaving through dense vegetation and coastal terrain. Heat and humidity accompany runners throughout the race.
