Nîmes Urban Trail

In Nîmes, the Nîmes Urban Trail offers a different way to discover the Roman city, combining heritage, stairways and hillside paths. The routes start in the city centre and take runners through the streets of Nîmes before reaching greener areas around the seven hills. The Arena, the Maison Carrée, the Magne Tower and the Jardins de la Fontaine are among the iconic landmarks along the route. The course also includes a few more unusual sections, with paths, parks and lesser-known parts of the city.
The alternation of short climbs, descents and urban sections gives the course a very different profile from a road race. The finish in the Arena is the highlight of the event, following one final passage through the heart of Nîmes’ heritage. Several distances are available, from the short format to the marathon, allowing participants to discover the city at their own pace. The Nîmes Urban Trail thus stands out for its blend of running, heritage and nature, in a particularly festive atmosphere.
