Mauritius by UTMB

On Mauritius, Mauritius by UTMB takes runners through the mountainous landscapes of the island’s southwest, amid tropical forests, sugarcane fields and volcanic terrain. The trails alternate between steep climbs, technical sections and more open stretches overlooking the lagoons of the Indian Ocean. The route passes notably through the Black River Gorges National Park and around Le Morne Brabant, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Several race formats offer the chance to discover this terrain, including an ultra of more than 120 km. It is a race that reveals a completely different side of Mauritius, far from the beaches and deep in the heart of its mountainous landscapes.
