In early August, Fieberbrunn, in the PillerseeTal, sends off the KAT100 Austria by UTMB®, in the heart of the Austrian Tyrol. Created by Thomas Bosnjak, the race roams the Kitzbühel Alps, linking landmarks such as the Wildseeloder, the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Jakobskreuz, and passing through the villages of St. Johann, Waidring and Hochfilzen. Alpine pastures, panoramic ridges and steep climbs make up demanding mountain terrain where the elevation gain keeps piling up.
The flagship 100 Miles covers around 170 km with close to 9,800 m of elevation gain, alongside the Endurance Trail, the Marathon Trail (48 km), the Speed Trail (24 km), the Easy Trail (8 km) and a Kids Trail. A stop on the UTMB® World Series, the event offers races for every level, up to 100 miles, and is one of the major events among races in Tyrol.
