In Grindelwald, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the Eiger Ultra Trail by UTMB takes runners along the trails of the Bernese Oberland, facing some of the region’s most iconic peaks. The routes cross alpine meadows, forests and high-altitude paths, with the Eiger and its famous north face as a backdrop. On the longest course, runners pass through Grosse Scheidegg, First, Bachalpsee, Faulhorn, Wengen and Männlichen before following the foot of the Eiger’s north face. The landscapes alternate between panoramas of snow-capped peaks, alpine valleys and more technical sections. Several formats offer the chance to discover this environment, from the short trail to the 101 km ultra, while a 250 km course offers a longer crossing through the alpine world of Jungfrau-Aletsch. A spectacular event where the scenery of the Swiss Alps accompanies runners from the first to the last kilometre.
