EDF Val Cenis Trail

At Val Cenis, in Haute Maurienne Vanoise, the EDF Val Cenis Trail takes runners into the heart of the high-mountain landscapes. The routes cross forests, alpine meadows and high-altitude trails, with Lake Mont-Cenis serving as one of the race’s defining backdrops. On the longer formats, runners climb to the heights of the Ouillon des Arcellins, before reaching the pass and dam of Mont-Cenis, on the border between France and Italy.
The peaks of Vanoise accompany the highest sections of the course. The terrain alternates sustained climbs, technical descents and more runnable paths around Val Cenis. Several formats offer different ways to experience the race, from the short trail to more demanding mountain courses of up to 73 km. It is a summer event that combines effort, wide-open spaces and the discovery of Haute Maurienne.
